Interesting facts about the Months in Thai

1. Every Month in Thai ends in either คม (kom) or ยน (yon).

If a month ends with คม (kom) it means that the month has 31 days. For example August สิงหาคม has 31 days.

If a month ends with ยน (yon) it means that the month has 30 days. For example November พฤศจิกายน has 30 days.

The only exception is February which ends with พันธ์ (pan). This is because February has either 28 or 29 days.

2. Each month comes from a zodiac sign

Every month in Thai comes from a Zodiac sign. See the below chart for the complete list. Notice how the Zodiac sign is in the beginning of every month.
