1. To go = ไป bpai

2. To come = มา maa

• Who do you come here with?

  มาทำไมครับ

  Literal Translation: Come why?

3. To travel = เที่ยว tîeow

• I will travel to Bangkok for 3 days
  ผมจะเที่ยวกรุงเทพ 3 วัน
  pŏm jà tîeow grung tâyp săam wan
  Literal Translation: I will travel Bangkok 3 days
  
  
• I come travel to Thailand every year.
  ฉันมาเที่ยวประเทศไทยทุกปี
  chăn maa tîeow bprà-tâyt tai túk bpee
  Literal Translation: I come travel Thailand every year

4. To be located at, to live/stay = อยู่ yòo

• I live in Thailand.
  ฉันอยู่ที่ประเทศไทย
  chăn yòo têe bprà-tâyt tai
  Literal Translation: I live at Thailand
  
  
• Where is the bathroom (located)?
  ห้องน้ำอยู่ที่ไหนครับ
  hông náam yòo têe năi kráp
  Literal Translation: Bathroom located where?

5. To understand = เข้าใจ kâo jai

• I understand little bit of Thai.
  ฉันเข้าใจภาษาไทยนิดหน่อย
  chăn kâo jai paa-săa tai nít nòi
  Literal Translation: I understand Thai little bit
  
  
• I don’t understand English.
  ผมไม่เข้าใจภาษาอังกฤษ
  pŏm mâi kâo jai paa-săa ang-grìt
  Literal Translation: I don’t understand English

6. To speak = พูด pôot

• It’s very fun to speak with Thai people
  พูดกับคนไทยสนุกมาก
  pôot gàp kon-tai-sà-nùk mâak
  Literal Translation: Speak with Thai people fun very much.
  
  
• I can speak Thai.
  ฉันพูดภาษาไทยได้
  chăn pôot paa-săa tai dâai
  Literal Translation: I speak Thai can

7. To eat กิน gin

• I want to eat Somtam and Pad Thai.
  ฉันอยากกินส้มตำกับผัดไทย
  chăn yàak gin sôm dtam gàp pàt tai
  Literal Translation: I want eat somtam with Pad Thai
  
  
• What shall we eat today?
  เราจะกินอะไรดีวันนี้
  Rao jà gin à-rai dee wan née
  Literal Translation: We will eat what good today

8. To sit/to take (train, bus, taxi, airplane, etc) = นั่ง nâng

• Take the train to Phuket.
  นั่งรถไฟไปภูเก็ต
  nâng rót fai bpai poo-gèt
  Literal Translation: Sit train go Phuket
  
  
• Take taxi back home.
  นั่งแท็กซี่กลับบ้าน
  nâng táek-sêe glàp bâan
  Literal Translation: Sit taxi return home

9. to want = อยาก yàak

• I want to travel to every country.
  ฉันอยากไปเที่ยวทุกประเทศ
  chăn yàak bpai tîeow túk-bprà-tâyt
  Literal Translation: I want go travel every country.
  
  
• I want to understand Thai.
  ผมอยากเข้าใจภาษาไทย
  pŏm yàak kâo jai paa-săa tai

10. To like = ชอบ chôp

• I like Thai people and Thailand.
  ฉันชอบคนไทยและประเทศไทย
  chăn chôp kon tai láe bprà-tâyt tai 
  Literal Translation: I like Thai people and Thailand
  
  
• I like to speak Thai.
  ฉันชอบพูดภาษาไทย
